Marines make reality out of a ‘Mehraj’

"PATROL BASE MEHRAJ, Helmand province, Afghanistan - Lance Cpl. Kyle Wilcox of Tampa Bay, Fla., scans the area through his rifle’s optics during a recent dismounted patrol. The squad automatic weapon gunner with Kilo Company, 3rd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, and the rest of the Marines in the unit have collectively conducted more than 600 hours of mounted and dismounted patrols"

One more reason to love the Marine Corps. Here it lets a hard charging young Corporal of Marines take the photos and write the story - This young Corporal is doing the work of a civilian with a Masters Degree in journalism. And the Marine is doing a great job.  The Marine Corps is a great place to start your career, giving the young Marine way more opportunity than a civilian start.

Semper Fi, Corporal Mancha
