Marine Corps Association

Today in Marine Corps history - 1813 - Marines aboard the USS President helped capture the HMS brig Shannon.

1945 - 2nd Battalion, 4th Marines, commanded by Maj Frank Carney, became the first American troops to set foot on Japanese soil - the first occupying force ever to touch the Japanese mainland.

The Marine Corps Association is the professional association for ALL Marines. The MCA publishes Leatherneck Magazine and the Marine Corps Gazette.
